Developed between 2017-22 and coordinated by different curatorial teams, over three seasons the MASP Renner project invited 26 duos of artists and fashion designers to join forces to produce 78 garments created directly for the museum’s collection. The project expands MASP’s fashion collection, taking as its starting point the MASP Rhodia collection, a French brand that introduced synthetic fabrics to Brazil in the 1960s and commissioned prints from artists so that these fabrics could be made by the so-called “dressmakers.” MASP Renner is one of the few examples of a fashion collection made up of clothing that was produced for a museum, without prior circulation, and in a collaborative model between artists and designers, leading to a reflection on the relationships and boundaries between art and fashion.
O MASP Loja vende catálogos e antologias editados pelo museu, sua linha própria de produtos, bem como livros de outras editoras e uma seleção de objetos provenientes de várias partes do país, criados por comunidades de artesãos, povos indígenas e designers.
